As the sun set last night we have decided to close the Travellers Rest BnB. We have had great times over the last 7 years meeting and hosting guests from across Australia and around the world. Beth and I would like to thank all our guests and visitors for taking the time to enjoy our lovely property. We wish health and happiness to all.

Thought we’d take an opportunity to go for a little walk in our local reserve yesterday - still a few wildflowers in bloom

Picked the last of our Pink Lady apples today - still have plenty of Granny Smiths to pick and our early apples are just starting to flower

We’ve had some lovely much need rain - some of the flowers in in our garden are starting to bloom.

Busy day at The Travellers Rest today - Beth busy bottling some of our lovely Satsuma plums and making our lovely ginger and turmeric drink while Pete made some Persian Feta, just salted - will be in oil in an hour. Of course, had to have a glass of lovely Gilbert’s Rose.

It’s that time - time to harvest our garlic. We would have harvested a week ago but had to wait for some warm weather to allow our garlic to dry. Lovely day today and warmer tomorrow - up it all came. we will be getting our Black Garlic cooker out this weekend and will have some lovely fresh black garlic ready to eat about 5th December
