📢 ATTENTION NORTH ENTRANCE NIPPERS PARENTS & GUARDIANS!

🌊Are you getting ready to register your kids for the upcoming season at North Entrance SLSC? Don’t forget the "One Parent, One Child" rule!

Across all Surf Life Saving clubs, at least one parent or guardian must register as a member alongside their child

Here is why this is standard practice and strictly enforced:
•Insurance Coverage: Nippers is not a drop-off program. Because you are on the beach helping out, you must be a registered member to be covered by SLS insurance
•Child Safety: A parent or guardian must remain at the beach for the entire session. Registration ensures everyone complies with member safety standards
•Volunteer Power: Our club runs 100% on volunteer energy! Parent membership gets everyone involved in keeping the beach safe and fun

💡 How to register:
Head over to the https://sls.com.au/join/ to complete your sign-up. The easiest way is to select a Family Membership package to link your whole family together under North Entrance SLSC

🌊 Nippers 2026/27 Season — Key Dates

The new season is nearly here, and we’re kicking off with two important days for all families.

🟡 Proficiency Swim Assessment

📍 The Entrance Ocean Baths
📅 Sunday 27th September – 9:30am
👦 U6s to U14s

We’ll also be assessing parents interested in becoming Water Safety Assistants. If you’d like to support our Nippers in the water this season, this is the day to step forward.
The water is still chilly so if you have a wetsuit- wear it! Please bring goggles

** If you're unable to attend the swim assessment and your child already does regular swim lessons, your accredited swim coach can complete the assessment for you.

Competition proficiency swims will also be held on the first day of Nippers for kids aiming to compete at carnivals. Competitors must demonstrate competent ocean skills.

Do you need help registering for Nippers for the first time or renewing your registration. Follow the steps below or email [email protected] for more help 😎

All registration is done via the SLSA hub 💻

Once signed in, you'll be asked whether you are a brand-new member (never belonged to any Surf Club before) or an existing member. Select the option that applies and follow the prompts.
Steps to follow:
- Choose to join a Surf Lifesaving Club and search for North Entrance SLSC
- If you're joining a child, a parent must also be a member. Choose My Family and give your family group a name.
- If you're an adult joining on your own, choose An Individual.
- Enter all adults first, then add children. At least one adult must be entered before you can add a child membership.
- Nippers must have turned 5 to participate.
- Fill in all additional details and create a username and password.
- Payment can be completed online during registration.
Note: If you have previously been a member of another Surf Club, you will need to initiate a transfer to North Entrance SLSC. Select existing member when prompted, and once your Hub account is linked to your previous membership, you can select Join/ Transfer to a New Organisation from the Memberships - View-More section.

Nippers is all about fun, fitness, and surf safety, but we can’t hit the sand without our incredible Age Managers!
Why do we need you?
•To keep our Nippers safe and supervised on the beach and in the water
•To help kids build vital beach confidence and lifesaving skills
•To foster a supportive, fun, and inclusive team environment

What is the commitment?
•Sundays from 8:30 AM
•Our season commences on Sunday, 18th
October
•Runs until early March (and no sessions on public holiday weekends!)

No surf lifesaving experience?
No worries!If you have enthusiasm and love helping kids learn, you are exactly who we need. We provide all the training, online modules, and mentoring to get you ready. It’s a rewarding way to connect with other families and support your child's Nippers journey

CLUB PRESENTATION NIGHT - THIS SATURDAY.

We welcome all adult members to attend, including Nipper parents, Associate Members, Life Members, and Active Patrolling Members.

While the evening is not overly formal, it is a fantastic chance for everyone to come together, reflect on a successful season, and enjoy a memorable night with fellow members. ✌🏼

Tickets are $20 per person.
Commencing at 5:30pm in our Function Room.

What a phenomenal way to round out what has been another special season for our mighty club!
