🙌NEW LODGE MANAGER - welcome Matt!🙌

We are thrilled to announce that we have a new Lodge manager, Matt Whitworth!

Some of you may have already met Matt through winter whilst helping Peter in the lodge.

Matt has worked and lived in Thredbo for the past six years. He is a fine dining chef 👨‍🍳 with 35 years experience. His cooking career started at Horizons in Jindabyne under the guidance of a French chef!

🏍️ Matt is also a certified mountain bike guide and instructor and is available to do guided bike and hiking tours through the off-season.

He is passionate about mountain bike riding and is offering Hahnenkamm members a free introductory lesson or guided tour when they come stay at the lodge (Guests will be required to pay, speak to Matt about rates should you be interested). Check out the photos that he has provided in this post!

Matt has a goal to increase the number of guests who stay at Hahnenkamm through the off season, with everything that he is offering, I'm sure he will be successful!

Through the off season Matt works in a couple of jobs at Jindabyne and Thredbo. Should you need to contact him, please leave a message and he will get back to you within 24 hours.

Just wanted to say thank you and goodbye to all the members and guests who we have had the pleasure to come to know over the years. We haven’t moved far away (only to Jindabyne) so maybe we see some of you around! Thank you for making Hahnenkamm special for us and we wish you all many more happy ski adventures to come! Lap It Up! Funnel Web Is Groomed For The First Time This Season!
The sun’s out and Thredbo is looking unreal this morning! Groomers are in prime condition, perfect for carving those early turns. Big news for the day - we’ve groomed Funnel Web for the first time this season, so it’s your chance to tick off an iconic run in all its freshly smoothed glory.

If parks are your thing, today’s the perfect day to stack laps and push your limits. Our crew has been keeping all features dialled in, so you can spend the day lapping rails, jumps, and flow lines. It’s a great time to chase maximum vertical and soak up those bluebird vibes.

And just when you thought spring had arrived, the forecast is calling for more snow on the way later this week! Conditions are about to get another refresh, so enjoy today’s sunshine, lock in those top-to-bottom laps, and get ready for some flurries.

The conditions at Thredbo are sensational! So much snow on the mountain, especially at the top! The Thredbo community bell at the top of Karels is half buried. With a nice dump of snow falling yesterday and more on the way, why not come down to enjoy the fabulous ski conditions! Part week bookings will be accepted.
