Today we hosted a Celebration of life to farewell our friend & neighbour of 15-16 years Peter Burke.
It was lovely to hear some of the stories & memories that friends shared about this generous, hard working man. Whether it was due to your passion for collecting antique items (regardless of value), your collection of stray animals, your generosity & thoughtfulness (our Batracks restaurant is filled with items you would drop off randomly, as you did to many of your friends throughout the years) or your knowledge of history (not only about the history you read about but about local history that is often long forgotten) you will be remembered fondly.
For us personally it was your humble, unassuming, private & independent nature as well as your unwavering loyalty, care & dedication to Marge. We were blessed to have known & been a part of your world. Your little shuffled walk, rollie, half smoked in mouth & crazy, wind blown hair belied the class of man you truly were & we will miss you being around.
RIP Pete.
