Tiaro Retreat - Farm stay/camping

Hi everyone

Unfortunately we’re having to make a really tough decision and opt to shut down our camp grounds

We have met some really amazing people on our journey and enjoyed sharing our property, dam and animals with everyone

However with 2 new camp grounds opened in tiaro after we commenced and with the drought having hit us hard last year we’re still in recovery mode from that

We opened our campgrounds with a vision to make improvements and add facilities but due to the drought we have not had the available time or $$ to do so and therefore cannot compete with these other well set up campgrounds (I do understand our campground style didn’t suit everyone’s camping style but we loved having the people here that chose to come and camp with us)
The campground was never opened to make $$ only to balance itself out with the maintenance cost but unfortunately it’s costing us way more atm to maintain it due to lack of bookings :(

I’m sorry we can no longer provide this camp ground but sadly with no current bookings or future bookings now is the right time to do this so we’re not letting anyone down

We thank everyone for their support especially those who have taken the time to come and stay with us we truly appreciated ur support :)

We are monitoring the weather incoming from the tropical cyclone there is big rain predicted but we all know that can change
However if it moves away from us we will have a perfect weekend here with the dams perfectly full and beautiful and the paddocks lovely and green

If you do wish to book in for Australia Day weekend and the weather looks not desirable and u change your mind we will give a full refund as we understand this is not a situation anyone wishes to be stuck in or lose $$ for I would rather offer this and my campers be safe then you lose $$ especially in our hard financial times for so many

We love Xmas and this year we provided our guests with real Xmas trees to decorate and a box of decorations to do so
While we didn’t get a p other of their decorated tree we did get this beauty fresh after last nights storms which have topped our dams up just nicely :)
We hope you all had a very merry Xmas and look forward to bringing in 2024

Bulls and barrels in tiaro on 30th December still plenty of camping space with us for this event

The grounds are freshly mowed and set up ready for our Xmas/new year campers.
Tomorrow (23/12) we have campground Xmas tree decorating at 3pm
Free use of kids kayak and poodle noodles in our dam
Daily animal feeding at 4pm except for Christmas Day
Beautiful and green and it’s even nice and cool with the cloud cover
