Over the years Sleepy Lagoon Motel has established a reputation as one of the friendliest places of accommodation in Tin Can Bay and we are working hard to make it even better!

Adjacent to the Sleepy Lagoon Hotel which has a licensed bistro restaurant and bottle shop
Two small blocks away is Tin Can Bay’s picturesque foreshore, children’s play area, skate park and 10,000 steps walkways
Marina is a 5 min stroll away
Dolphin Feeding is a 5 minute car ride
Rainbow Beach and Inskip Point (Fraser Island barge) is a 25 minute car ride

The world-famous dolphin feeding at Tin Can Bay provides a rare opportunity to interact with wild Indo-Pacific humpback dolphins:
The Dolphin Centre opens at 7.00am
Viewing times between 7.00 - 8.00am
There is only one feeding session per day commencing at 8.00am
On arrival, visitors are welcome to join the volunteers in the water and get to know these beautiful mammals with a small group of people in the water at any one time.

Situated in the centre of town with the local hotel only 50mtrs away and supermarket approx. 150mtrs away. A short 5 min stroll to the bay's foreshore where you will find a playground for children, bbq's, picnic tables and a concrete walkway following the foreshore. Dolphin feeding is only a 3 min drive or 20 min walk.
Unfortunately, despite how much we love them, we cannot accommodate pets as many of our rooms have shared verandahs.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Very pleasant accommodation with a warm welcome.
Spacious and very pleasant accommodation, we felt at home immediately even though we were only staying one night. The lady on reception was so friendly and advised us about visiting the dolphin centre early the next day. It was wonderful - for 10 dollars you get up really close to the wild dolphins and can feed them a fish! Do it! Thanks for a very pleasant stay.

Every third Saturday Tin Can Bay Markets are held on the foreshore which is just a short walk from the motel. Grab yourself some fresh local fruits and vegetables, whilst enjoying a leisurely stroll through everything else the markets have to offer.
