We had been admiring our 2 tropical birch trees during the week and commented how they had grown in the 3 years since being planted. Very upset to wake up yesterday and find we had lost a very large limb off one, after the strong winds Monday night.

We met a lovely couple at the Empire theatre yesterday who had stayed with us at Wanulla a few years ago when Greg celebrated his birthday. Margaret as usual made him a Birthday cake which was memorable for them and wanted to thank us for our hospitality. It remined us of the many happy times we had with Guests over the years. Should anyone wish to keep in touch please ask to friend Margaret Taylor of Stephen Savage. We are now happy in our new home in Lydwin Crescent, East Toowoomba

What a great month it has been with lots of B&B friends visiting us. Together, we enjoyed looking at the competition gardens and parks, enjoyed 2 walking tours taken by Toowoomba Trails (Tmba Architecture & also the Mort Estate & Cottages), spent a day & evening at the Festival of Food & Wine, took the Talking Pubs Tour where we visited 4 favourite Toowoomba pubs & entertained in our new home. It was so nice seeing everyone again.

First day of Spring
Just home from a quick walk through the gardens in Queens Park. For the first time, the Carnival of Flowers is being celebrated for the entire month, instead of the usual 10 days.
We have a number of friends & B&B friends visiting us and have booked 2 walking tours on the architecture around the city, a walking pub tour and a dinner & movie night at Inbound.
Very much looking forward to having more time this year to enjoy the activities and the gardens, plus of course welcoming our friends to our new home.

A very enjoyable time over the last 10 days as we have caught up with so many of our B&B friends. A stay overnight last week by Julie before she attended the Leafmore Winter Garden School (which she said was very good). Last weekend, we had friends Prue and George stay as they needed to travel up to the area for family reasons. Wednesday saw a quick visit from Ron & Annelle (from Stanthorpe) and yesterday we met John & Susan at Spicers Hidden Vale for an enjoyable lunch.

We are so fortunate to have made so many friends during the time we operated "B&B Wanulla"

Yesterday had friends "ex B&B guests" (an art curator) come to assist the hanging of our art work. It is really starting to feel like home now. Lovely seeing Ross & Cheryl again, to include Ross's aunt (who used to come to B&B Wanulla for afternoon teas with them) in our dinner outing and then to relax at the end of a busy day.

We would like to thank all of our guests who stayed with us during the 8 + years we were operating the B&B from our home "Wanulla". We enjoyed meeting you all & sharing our home with you but guess it was time to move on and have an easier life style.
We will always enjoy hearing from you in the future and would like to thank you for your support over the years. Many of you have been involved with our new home build & we look forward to showing you our lovely new home.

This Monday we hosted a birthday lunch for our friends from Stanthorpe. Ron & Annelle first stayed with us in 2017 and Ron has celebrated his last 4 birthdays with us.

We would like to wish you all an enjoyable festive season and a safe, peaceful and prosperous new year. Let's hope 2021 is an easier year for all.
