ing the Military Cross in New Guinea during World War 2.The original still standing hotel was constructed in 1932. Today the hotel boasts a refurbished gaming room, bistro, bar and kids area for the whole family to enjoy. Newtown Hotel is renowned for its mouth-watering affordable steaks. Duty Manager at Newtown Hotel!

We are looking for a flexible and talented SUPERSTAR to join our team. An exciting career opportunity exists for a Duty Manager at Newtown Hotel for a go-getter that wants to constantly exceed guest expectations!

Newtown Hotel has a solid core customer base and continues to grow due to our amazing team with a “can-do” attitude! With the guidance of the Hotel Manager, you will be responsible for the daily on-premise operations of this hotel. If you have experience in gaming operations along with demonstrated industry experience and looking for a step up, you are encouraged to apply.

This role will entail maintaining the high standard of customer service that the hotel is known for; cash handling, till and EFTPOS operation and Keno operation; hotel compliance; stock control and maintaining smooth operation of the hotel in the Manager's absence.

You must have experience in F&B, Gaming and Keno. You should hold a current RSA, RSG, RMLV and Approved Manager Licence (or be willing to obtain).

“The food is INCREDIBLE. 11/10 chicken parmy with chips and salad (and sauce). Best chips I’ve had in Toowoomba! Absolutely incredible. I’ve always had great interactions with the polite and friendly staff here. Very reasonably priced drinks. Also they do an incredible $20 steak + sauce + chips/salad/veges/mash (pick two) special.
Oh, and there’s a toasty warm wood fire place you can sit next to if you’re feeling chilly.”
