Ever wanted to live rent free by the beach and work from home?? This could be your dream job!
Our Motel is a small 18 room motel, located in the heart of the surf capital of Australia. This is not your ordinary concrete jungle motel. Our motel is surrounded by beautiful gardens, grassy areas and only a short walk to the beach. Or maybe the amazing cafes, restaurants and shopping is more your style.
We are looking for an experienced, self motivated, passionate manager/s. A strong candidate will have more than 5 years motel/hotel management experience, be familiar with LittleHotelier and be able to handle general handyman work as well. Rate management/optimization experience is a huge plus!
Responsibilities include:
- Friendly, personalised customer service and communication skills
- Front office and reservation duties- Manage daily operations
- Stock management
- Managing/assisting housekeeping staff (easy, we have great staff)
- Pool and grounds maintenance
- Small repairs and general maintenance
Managers Position
- This is an on-site management position.
- Package includes accommodation, all utilities and unlimited internet access, plus salary based on experience.
- The position would best suit a couple without children; couples with children are very welcome to apply but it is more difficult with kids, especially if school aged.
Work Hours:
- Reception is open from 9am - 9pm
- We offer a continental breakfast to our guests (prepackaged) No food handling certs required.
- After hours work is minimal, but important:
+ Calls from guests on-site with a problem in their room (this is very rare, but usually urgent)
+ Late night phone bookings. Again extremely rare.
+ Late walk-ins are accepted if rooms are available.
- 7 days a week, unless otherwise negotiated. Plus 2 weeks holiday (not to be taken during peak periods)
