We are ideally located in Nelly Bay, only 50 metres back from the beach, 150 metres from the supermarket and shops, and 1 kilometre from the ferry terminal and harbour complex. Our reception has a tour desk to help you select the most suitable activities and tours to maximise the enjoyment of your holiday, and we have complimentary wireless internet in all rooms. All burés are self-contained, have a TV, air-conditioning, ceiling fans and patios for those balmy tropical nights. Linen is supplied and burés are serviced weekly. Two of the burés are disabled friendly, with ramps to the doors and open showers with extra grab rails. Our lagoon pool incorporates a spa and 'beach area' for small children, and there is plenty of room for guests to relax. The poolside BBQ area is a great place of enjoyment for our guests. Facilities also include games rooms, coin operated laundry mat and full-sized tennis court, which is floodlit for night play.

Our Story

Island Leisure Resort is a multi-award-winning tropical resort with Polynesian-style burés located on Magnetic Island. We are ideally located in Nelly Bay, only 50 metres from the beach, 150 metres from the supermarket and shops, and 1 kilometre from the ferry terminal and harbour complex. Cafés and restaurants are within easy walking distance and the island bus stops at our door. With only 18 burés, you will never get that crowded feeling. There is plenty of room at the pool and always times available to play tennis.

Our reception has a tour desk to help you select the most suitable activities and tours to maximise the enjoyment of your holiday, and we have complimentary high-speed wireless internet. Our burés are perfectly designed for the relaxed tropical holiday. All burés are self-contained, have a kitchen, large digital TV, split system air-conditioning, ceiling fans and private patios for those balmy tropical nights. Linen is supplied and burés are serviced weekly. Two of our burés are fully wheelchair accessible to the latest disability code and the entire resort is at ground level.

The patios of each buré provide a very relaxed setting to sip a drink, have breakfast, or just enjoy the surroundings. Set in lush tropical gardens, the resort has an array of wildlife including beautiful birds, curlews, rock wallabies, possums and the occasional koala. Our large lagoon pool incorporates a spa, and there is plenty of room for guests to relax. The poolside BBQ area is a great place of enjoyment for our guests. Relax by the pool, cook up some exotic fare, and sip an ice cold wine or beer in good company. Life doesn't get much better. Overlooking the pool area is our games room and a licensed snack bar serving light food and beverages. Play a game of pool or choose a book from our library and relax by the pool. An array of board games are also available. Adjacent to the games room is a guest laundry with coin-operated washers, dryers and ironing facilities. Next to the pool is our full-sized tennis court. Use of the court including racquets and balls is available free to our guests.
