This year marks the 160th year of The Cosmopolitan serving its local community.

Since current ownership took the reins in 2009, we've heard so many stories from the town and the building's colourful history, and the Wine Room is no exception.

This space required extensive renovations following the fire in 2005, yet still contains many original materials such as the floorboards and bed frame retrieved from the ashes and repurposed into a high table.

Stay tuned as we go deeper into the history of each room in the hotel on social media over the coming weeks.
