Acre of Roses

Acre of Roses A Magical flower filled Wellness Retreat, Accommodation and Rose Farm. As nature intended.

We are floral artisans, embracing the perfect imperfections of nature to bring you the scents, colours and
wayward stems of naturally grown old-fashioned fragrant roses, herbs and foliage. Our lavish arrangements tell your story through the secret language of flowers sourced, foraged and grown locally, ethically
and sustainably on our picturesque property in Victoria's pretty little country vill

age of Trentham. Our heritage roses are garden grown with minimal intervention with the help of bees, compost, sunshine
and rain. Our full romantic blooms show the true colours of gentle natural agriculture and have heady
scents, twisting stems and the occasional spot.

~ The quiet beauty of Late Autumn ~

Late autumn has arrived softly at Acre of Roses.

The garden slows. Mornings linger a little longer beneath mist and golden light. Roses offer their final blooms while the trees begin to let go, one leaf at a time.
It’s the season of warm bread from the oven, slower conversations, crackling fires, and quiet moments spent watching the landscape settle into rest.

There is something deeply comforting about this time of year - a gentle reminder that beauty exists not only in blooming, but also in slowing down.

Rooted in Nature Workshop - for Spudfest ~

There’s something deeply grounding about feeling the life beneath our feet - this dark, crumbly earth full of nutrients, stories, and possibility. It’s the foundation of everything we grow, nourish, and share.

With Spudfest just around the corner this weekend, we’re celebrating all things potato - and it all begins right here in the soil.

Join on Sunday 2 May at Acre of Rose at 10.30am for a special, hands-on potato poultice workshop with Caroline Parker. Learn how this humble crop connects soil, healing, and tradition in the most beautiful way.

There are just a few lucky last tickets left - grab yours via the link in our bio.

~ Autumn roses ~

There’s something truly special about rising with the sun, stepping into the stillness, and harvesting these blooms at their peak. Each stem carries a sense of purpose - soon to be part of a celebration, whether it’s a wedding, an event, or a simple, heartfelt gift to someone special.

There’s pride in knowing these roses will travel beyond our little space, bringing beauty and joy wherever they go. They are a gift from nature - delicate, fragrant, and fleeting - reminding us to slow down and be present.

Time spent among them, breathing in their soft perfumes and admiring their gentle colours, feels like a form of mindfulness… a quiet kind of luxury.

Grateful for this season, this rhythm, and our micro rose farm.

A season of soft edges, quiet choices, and beauty that doesn’t ask for attention.

Sometimes the most luxurious thing is a little space to yourself.

~ A Little Peter Rabbit Kind of Weekend… ~

Easter Monday, Rob’s birthday, and a little Peter Rabbit kind of magic.

A weekend of disappearing into the woodpile, muddy hands, autumn harvests, and slow moments that feel like stories.

Back to the table eventually - flowers, cake, and all the reasons we celebrate. A beautiful centrepiece by , whose birthday we’re also celebrating today.

Are you a disappear-into-the-garden kind of person too?

Happy Easter everyone :)

~ Where kindness is received ~

There’s a difference between places that ask more of you and places that gently give something back.

Over time, I’ve learned that kindness needs the right environment to flourish.

And that sometimes, even when you offer it freely, it simply isn’t received.

That doesn’t mean you gave it wrongly.

Not everyone is your person.

And when a door closes, it’s okay to quietly wish them well and choose peace instead.

Where does your kindness feel most at home?

~ Autumn ~

At Acre of Roses the garden doesn’t fade - it transforms. This is our favourite season.

Softer light, ripening fruit, and the quiet beauty of the season turning.

A reminder that change can be just as beautiful as what came before.

What does autumn bring for you?

~ Haven on Earth ~

These were the words used in The Australian Weekend recently - and they’ve stayed with us.

Not because of the feature,
but because of what they quietly ask:

What does it mean to create a place that truly holds people?

Over time, it’s become less about how something looks…
and more about how it feels.

The conversations shared here.
The slowing down.
The small moments of care and connection.

In a world that feels increasingly uncertain,
spaces that offer calm, depth, and restoration matter more than ever.

A gentle thank you to .mccabe for capturing this so thoughtfully
and to everyone who has been part of shaping what this place has become.

~ A Quiet Harvest -
from the Acre of Roses Gardens ~

Before the first frost, we gather what remains.

Pears heavy on the branch.
Hydrangeas softening into green. Fennel scattering their last gold across the table.

Not a perfect harvest - but a quiet one.
A moment held between seasons, where everything begins to fade, yet still offers itself fully.

Hands moving slowly. Petals falling.
The garden letting go, gently.

From the Acre of Roses garden -
an autumn gathering in soft greens and muted light.

~ Behind our wellness journey… ~

I know I’m not supposed to be on the furniture…
but in my defence, it’s very cosy.

And no one said anything… so I assumed it was allowed.

Ps. I don’t go anywhere without my toy Sharkie.
