ANZAC DAY 1915 - 2016 101 YEARS. Boutique Motel Sefton House was built as a private maternity hospital in 1890 which gave birth to the generation of the Australian ANZAC men and women. There is no fire damage or fires anywhere near Tumut, all is good. Come and support our region. The Tumut region is looking great, come and see the beauty, enjoy the food, catch a movie, try fly fishing, walks along the river and so much more.

These fires are very challenging for all of us and hopefully we can get over the top of them sooner rather than later. It is certainly not for the lack of effort. The amount of resources that have been put into our district is phenominal. We have been providing accommodation since the 2nd of January to all of the various authorities ie; RFS, NPWS, Fire and Rescue, Air Force, pilots etc. We have put together little packs and water to take with them daily and have opened up the full kitchen and dining room facilities for them. They are enjoying coming home to Sefton House, the lounge room, lovely rooms, verandas etc and we are very proud and greatful for their tireless work. Thank you. It is not over yet and hopefully we can put these fires out shortly.

May we all find the peace, contentment and patience with each other, we are all looking and hopeing for. This day 2019 years ago symbolises the begining of all the goodness that is within us which strives to dominate our lives against all that is no good in all of us. We live in hope and we strive to have a beautiful life. Faith is the true foundation and yet it is the hardest to sustain. Lets all give it a go and Christmas day is the ultimate day to remember, reboot and rebirth our goal for goodness and love to all. From Tane and Renaa, Merry Christmas

The entire Tumut Snowy Mountains region is lush and green and all the rivers are fully flowing. It is an absolute picture postcard and worth a visit to have a break, refresh, go fishing, hiking, pick fruit, see the mighty Snowy Hydro scheme and much more.

The magic and majesty of Winter is almost coming to an end and Spring is slowly awakening. We have had the best Winter visitors at Boutique Motel Sefton House and the one constant that they all say is how amazingly beautiful this region is. Four seasons, great food, great people and mother nature at its finest!, what more can you ask for.

Autumn in the Tumut region is spectacular, the colour, the crisp mornings and warm days, its unbelievable. The Snowy Hydro construction has started, the legacy continues and hopefully the Brindabella road upgrade is next. We are already seeing enquiries for Tumut accommodation at Boutique Motel Sefton House increasing from workers to tourists wanting to see the Snowy region.

The Australia Day weekend is a special time for all of us who are lucky and fortunate to be living on this magnificent continent. We welcome everyone to this beautiful Tumut region, come and see it for yourself, mother nature is truely happy here.
