📍Heads-up: Transport NSW has warned of roadworks causing closures, detours and impacting the M1 in northern NSW in coming days. Detours will be in place and delays should be expected 👷🚘

📝 Maintenance work on the Tugun Bypass between Kennedy Dr at Tweed Heads and the Qld-NSW border will begin at night starting February 25. Work will be from 8pm-6am Sundays to Thursdays until the end of March, weather permitting.

📝 Maintenance of the St Helena Tunnel at Ewingsdale will be undertaken from 7pm-5am nightly from February 26-28. The tunnel will be closed until 5am on February 29, weather permitting.

💧We have received over 300mm of rain across the city in the last 12 hours.

⚠️ We are expecting thunderstorms to continue throughout the day, with the potential for dangerous and life-threatening flash flooding.

🚗 Roads across the city are impacted and we remind the community that it is not safe to drive through any flooded roads, regardless of whether road closure notices are in place. Do not enter flood waters. Stay off the roads unless necessary.
