Three-generation family pubs. Walking away.

🔴 DOUBLE THE TAX OF WINE.
Beer drinkers pay DOUBLE the tax per standard drink compared to wine.
EIGHT TIMES the rate of cask wine.
Same government. Different rules. Why?

🔴 48% OF INDEPENDENT BREWERIES
can't turn a profit. Not because they're badly run.
Because the tax system is stacked against them.
47 breweries closed or entered administration since January 2023.
