EASTER CAMPING 2026
THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW TO HELP YOU AT GRESFORD SHOWGROUND OVER THE EASTER BREAK
• The official Camping Area down near the river over the grid is completely booked out for the Easter – please do not camp down there unless you have already booked and paid online for a designated numbered camping site.
• The Showground is open for camping from Wednesday 1st April 2026 till Wednesday 8th April 2026. This camping can be paid for online but sites are not designated. First in – first served. • For those camping on the Showground charges are $30 per night per site. Power is limited and not guaranteed. Please do not camp on the Showground arena or the Pony Club arena.
• Some areas of the Showground will be cordoned off for parking and other activities related to the Billy Cart Derby.
• There are limited shower facilities with the shower block located at the end of the toilet block near the stable area. You may also use the showers in the camping ground. All showers require a $1 coin to operate the hot water.
• The Dump Point in the camping area near the river is accessible for use to empty caravan/RV toilets.
• Fires are allowed in raised containers around the Showground outer areas.
• NO FIRES allowed on the Showground arena area or the Pony Club arena area.
• Dogs are welcome if they are on leads at all times. Don’t forget to clean up after them.
• This is a family friendly site so please be respectful of your fellow campers. Be mindful of your language around children and limit loud noise and music after 9pm.

Sometime last night someone has decided to drag these bollards across the road at the Showground near the skatepark.
Apparently bollards were also placed across Durham Road near the school.
Does anyone know anything about this?
It could be potentially dangerous if someone hits them at night.
Police have been informed about this senseless activity and local CCTV footage will be reviewed.

As New Year’s Eve is here just a reminder that NO FIREWORKS are allowed in the camp grounds and Showground. Please be respectful tonight of other campers and nearby local residents remembering that we are a family friendly grounds. Have a great night and we wish you well for 2026.

October Long Weekend
Looks like a busy weekend coming up. All sites are booked out in the Camping area. Please ensure you have a pre booked and paid for site on the grounds before you arrive to avoid disappointment. There is a horse event being held on the Showgrounds over Saturday and Sunday. This group has booked the Showground so there is no other outside camping permitted on the Showground area. We hope to sort the phone issues today. Please ring 0429389432 if you need assistance.

Hopefully everyone knows the Gresford Rodeo scheduled for this Saturday 30th August has been postponed.
It is good to see many of those booked to camp at Gresford Showground and Camping are still coming for a leisurely weekend.
If you do require a refund, please send a message or text to 0480 353 969. For those who have reached out for refunds please let us know if that has not happened for you yet.

GRESFORD RODEO POSTPONED
Unfortunately due to the continuing wet weather, the committee has made the difficult decision this evening to postpone the Gresford Rodeo scheduled for next Saturday 30th August 2025. In the next few days we will contact all campers booked at the grounds for that weekend to see if they will now require a refund. A new date for the Rodeo has not been decided at this stage. Sorry for the inconvenience-we are all disappointed!
