🐾 Welcome to Old Mates Country
Look at our new property maps, making it even easier to discover everything Old Mates Country has to offer.
Whether you're looking for a peaceful weekend around the campfire or an adventure exploring the Atherton Tablelands, we'll help match your group with the campsite that's best suited to your stay.
🌿 There's so much to see and do...
🐄 Meet our friendly farm animals and join us for afternoon animal feeding on selected weekends and throughout school holidays.
🚶♀️🚴 Walk, ride or explore our network of trails. Bring your mountain bike, your horse, or simply your walking shoes. Our green walking trail takes less than an hour to complete and winds through beautiful rainforest, past towering ancient trees and alongside the Herberton Range National Park.
🇦🇺 Take the easy 15-minute walk to our fascinating World War II Army ruins, where Old Mates Country was once home to the 120th Australian Brigade Ordnance Field Park and Brigade Workshops.
💦 Cool off with a swim in the Barron River, Moran Creek or Waterfall Lagoon, then keep an eye out for some of the Tablelands' amazing wildlife. If you're lucky, you might spot a platypus, tree kangaroo or one of the many native birds that call this place home.
🔥 As the sun goes down, light the campfire, cook up a camp oven feast, toast a few marshmallows and tell a few stories. Doesn't matter if they're true or not.
And when you've explored Old Mates Country...
There's still plenty more waiting just down the road.
