Join us at Black Gold for Celebrating The Seekers – 60 Years, featuring founding member Keith Potger AO in a heartfelt and entertaining journey through six decades of music. Keith's special tribute concert features the songs, stories, rare memories and the unmistakable 12-string guitar sound that helped make The Seekers an international sensation.

Expect timeless classics, fascinating behind-the-scenes stories, beautiful original ballads and plenty of nostalgia from an era when The Seekers became the first Australian group to achieve major international chart success.

Thursday night, we welcomed the crew from Moto Trekkin to Black Gold as part of their “Valley to Valley” Adventure. 🏍️

There’s something pretty special about seeing 130 moto riders roll into town after a big day exploring the backroads, valleys, and hidden gems of the region.

Good people, great stories, and a well-earned feed to finish the day off.

Thanks again to the Moto Trekkin team for choosing Black Gold as your overnight stop.

Just a short drive from Black Gold, Dargan Arch is one of those spots that makes you stop, look up, and take it all in. A natural sandstone arch carved over time, surrounded by bushland that feels a world away from everything.

It’s not overrun. It’s not polished. It’s just raw, quiet, and seriously impressive.

🎶 When a legend checks in… you don’t need to Google the soundtrack.

On Monday, we welcomed Keith Potger, founding member of The Seekers to Black Gold.

Keith and his partner Elizabeth Hawkes stayed with us. They enjoyed dinner at The Crib Room while visiting Wallerawang for the dedication of “The Seekers Grove” at the Barton Park Giant Trees Arboretum — a beautiful tribute to Judith Durham, Athol Guy, Keith Potger and Bruce Woodley, the iconic Australian group whose rich harmonies and musicianship captured the hearts of audiences around the world.

From “I’ll Never Find Another You” to “Georgy Girl”, their music has travelled the globe… and this week it made a stop right here in Wallerawang.

We’re incredibly proud to support the Barton Park Giant Trees Arboretum — what a terrific project for our community and a wonderful addition to the region.

Proof that you never quite know who might walk through the doors at Black Gold.

The only downside?
The old school cricket pitch had to make way for progress.
