The South West's landmark Gloucester Tree climb will finally be reopened.
The Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions has confirmed with the ABC the tourist attraction will be open to the public from the weekend of June 27th.
Visitors have made the 61-metre-high climb up the Gloucester Tree for decades without a harness or supervision. However, the former fire lookout was closed in late 2023 due to safety concerns.
Work to redevelop the attraction began last year but after numerous delays the climb will now reopen in time for the school holidays at the redeveloped height of 37 metres.
