What a fantastic day at the Waratah Woodchops hosted by the Tasmanian Axemens Association 🪓🌿

Our Waratah Alpaca & Pepperberry Farm stall was a huge success! Our pepperberry salts and rubs were flying — and chef & artist Arna’s pepperberry banana bread and shortbread were absolutely moreish and unexpectedly scrumptious. 🍌🍪

Even Gordon’s Buell got in the bike show.

Shearing Day for our two rescue alpacas. It was exciting for everyone as the guests got too experience the shearing and we finally got to see what lies beneath the matted fleece. To our surprise they were in good shape and we are very happy to have two rare Appaloosa Suri Alpacas, which I have never seen before - normally they are solid colours.

Summer is here and our paddock is full of laughing children and very relaxed people enjoying the views and the animals.

The wonderful artist Arna Walker is staying on the farm for a while and has created this wonderful map of Tasmania from all the places she has stayed. She is now commissioned to create our Welcome to Waratah sign for tourists as they enter the township. Very exciting and can’t wait to see how she transforms our town into a wonderful adventure for all that visit out town.
