It has been an honour looking after some the organisers and competitors of the Australasian Rescue Challenge currently underway at Lardner Park.
This amazing event is run by the Australasian Road Rescue Organisation (ARRO) for road accident crews from all states and territories as well as New Zealand and Singapore.
Both volunteers and career fire rescue, paramedics and State Emergency personnel participate in exercises set up to simulate the plethora of incidents and emergencies that these amazing people are confronted with as a result of road trauma.
Best wishes to all crews, but particularly the crews staying at Comfort Inn & Suites Warragul from NSW Fire Brigades. Hats off to the amazing team from ARRO who have bedazzled us with their outstanding commitment and dedication to ensuring that our emergency services are the very best they can be.

One really has to wonder as to the competence of Baw Baw Shire Council and their respect of rate payer funds. Having finally built the missing section of footpath around the motel a month ago (several years late) they have jackhammered the majority of it up today.
We have put up with months and months a adverse impacts with no notifications, acknowledgment of the impact and definitely no apology. Complain and you get directed to the mayor (seriously) who does nothing, doesn’t even bother to respond.
And again today with no notice, bu**er the workers on night shift. Feel like we’re on an episode of Utopia.

After a busy week feeding tired firefighters working on the now contained local fires we needed a second delivery of Jindi Free Range Eggs. Coupled with our delicious Bertocchi bacon it’s no wonder breakfast at Comfort Inn & Suites Warragul has never been better. Great to be using such wonderful local produce!

We would like to apologise for the gross incompetence of Telstra who today cut off our phone service.
They cannot tell us when they will fix it. The issue appears to be tied up with the move to the NBN, so it appears that you don’t even have it before it causes issues. Please call 0427 687 391 as an interim measure. Our apologies for the inconvenience.
