3 crazy years and we're out! It has been mostly fun and shenanigans, with a bit of drought, huge duststorms, wet harvests, a million mice and a global pandemic mixed in π€ͺπ€ͺ. This weekend we moved full circle, out of the Pub and back to our house at Darlington Point, something we are definitely looking forward too, but it won't be without a bit of sadness leaving Weethalle and our mates behind again π₯Ί plus moving sux balls π
We would sincerely like to thank Louise, Mona and Bookie for being such amazing and reliable bar staff during this time, i would have been stuffed without you all, you were all so valuable and much appreciated πππ!!!
And of course, we especially need to thank all our customers and everyone who supported us. People who called in for 1 beer and ended up staying for 10 π
, the quiet nights that unexpectedly finish at 3am π, the people who sat there patiently while I fu**ed around with the internet so they could watch the footy π
π
, the dancing and my terrible singing π€£π€£ the jelly wrestling on Australia Day, bar stool rodeos, when dancing on the bar is allowed but not on the pool table ππ I could go on, and on, but I won't, this is already long enough π€£π€£ Unfortunately this has come around so fast we were unable to host a 'last drinks' but I'm sure you'll still see us around and we'll be able to have a drink on the same side of the bar π
We also regret to inform everyone that the Pub will remain closed for the time being, we are unsure at this stage what the future is for the Pub in terms of reopening, but we are hopeful that a new Publican will come along soon.
So anyway, after 3 years, everyone should know by now I'm a poet π€ͺ, so here's a little ditty I just whacked together π€£π€£
Its called Cheers to Weethalle Pub
Cheers for the weekend,
Cheers for the night out,
Cheers for your mates,
Cheers for the shout.
Cheers for the beers,
Cheers for the shots
Cheers to the good times, whether you remember them or not
