A very successful Easter Weekend with a wonderful group of families from around the region and even few from Victoria. I want to sincerely thank all those friends and family who have chipped in to help achieve significant results over recent weeks.
Looking forward to having camp-fire from the 15th!

Following the clearing of the Jarra from the area over a century ago, our natural lake became inundated with silt and topsoil. Our initiative involves excavating this soil to revitalize less productive areas of the farm. Upon hiring a 41-ton dump truck to transport the soil, unforeseen circumstances arose, precipitating 70mm of rainfall, as if the very act of starting the truck triggered the downpour. Despite the challenges, we successfully relocated 2700 tons of soil to the front paddock and a stockpile within a span of 13 hours. We plan to resume operations next summer.

All of the hard work is starting to culminate. Thanks to Aaron for his assistance skull dragging the little excavator off the track after a hydraulic hose failed.

Final trim of the access tracks, ready for gravel. Fencing 90% completed allowing the alpacas and emu's free range.

Last night some very angry bees were relocated from the old farm, expressing their discust by stinging us all. Thanks to Hassan and his son, I stayed in the car and still managed 3 stings to the face!

Finally, completed shaping the dam and area around Camp 2, The Wetlands.

A beautiful 15 degree morning as the remainder of the lake dries and the birdlife scrounge for crustaceans.

Well another successful day doing roadworks and landscaping around the property. Getting ready for the Australia Day crowd.

We closed our property over January and February due to fire danger and its the best time to get maintenance done.

Lots of pelicans and other bird life, not to mention the chooks who think my excavator is a great nest.

Another addition to the farm today, it's the little things that make you smile at the end of the day 😀
