Creswell Street Cottage will be closed this week whilst some painting happens.

Our fingers are crossed that a kitchen reno will happen in June and we will be sure to post some before and after photos.

We will be ready to welcome guests mid next week.

We had a busy day at Creswell Street Cottage! We pulled out some shrubs and planted some others.

We did have someone ask the plant name that will hopefully become a nice hedge.

The name of the plant is Polygala dalmaisiana 'Dazzler' (Dwarf Sweet Pea Shrub) which I hear is a compact, hardy evergreen shrub growing to 1.5m high and wide, known for year-round mauve-purple pea-like flowers. It is a versatile, low-maintenance, drought-tolerant plant ideal for small hedges, or pots, requiring full sun to part shade and well-drained soil.

There will be a different hedge along the front but I’ve lost the tag!

I got the plants from Greengecko Garden Centre in Griffith and I have built up the soil with a loam/manure mix that I got from Millers Concrete West Wyalong.

I also added some water saving crystals, fertilizer and gypsum.

Fingers crossed they grow well! 🌱
