We’re thrilled to celebrate Brent Greenfield, The Y Camping’s Operations & Logistics Coordinator, who has been named a finalist in the Outdoor Volunteer Award category in the Outdoors Queensland Awards. 🏕️
Brent regularly gives his time to share his extensive knowledge, skills and passion for the outdoors with the next generation of Scouts Queensland , inspiring young people and helping build their confidence and capability.
This is a well-deserved recognition of Brent’s lifelong commitment to volunteering and his outstanding contribution to the outdoor community.
The winners will be announced on 30 October at the annual Outdoors Queensland awards dinner!

Nature is thriving at Camp Warrawee/Bundalong!

Thanks to the incredible work of our Bushcare volunteers, we’ve recorded an amazing 88 bird species across camp so far!

On just one recent survey, 40 different species were spotted, including the stunning Rainbow Bee-eater, the elusive Varied Sittella, and birds of prey like the Brown Goshawk and Brahminy Kite.

These sightings highlight the rich biodiversity and ecological importance of the bushland at Camp Warrawee/Bundalong.

We’re so grateful for the ongoing work helping us better understand and protect this special environment. 🦅🌱💌

A few weeks ago, we had .australia come out and bring along some seriously cool toys! A couple of lucky instructors got to pat a koala and play with some robo dogs 🤖🐨 Definitely not your average day at work!
