This unique stone cottage is located on the Williams River on "Boraning", a 3000 acre bio-dynamic organic farm 17 kms west of Williams. "Boraning" is home to the Newton-Wordsworth family. e was built as one of two garrisons for soldiers on the original track between Swan River Colony (Perth) and King George's Sound (Albany). It was located near a ford on the Williams River, which can still be seen today. The original settlement was known as "Williamsburgh". Later when the Albany Highway was rerouted the settlement moved to the town of Williams, but the cottage remains as the oldest buiding in the area, and an important piece of Western Australian history.

Williams Farm Stay offers excellent equestrian facilities and boarding for your horse. We offer a round yard, arena, XC jumps, riding area in large paddock, supervised trail rides, stables and paddocks. If there is anything further you require please mention it prior to booking.

The cottage was built as one of two garrisons for soldiers on the original track between Swan River Colony (Perth) and King George's Sound (Albany).
