Hi everyone!
We have an important update to share regarding the name of our new spa & bathhouse.
Many of you have come to know us as AURA, however, after announcing the brand, we were notified of a trademark conflict that meant we could no longer move forward with that name.
While this wasn’t the change we had planned for, it was important that we respected the trademark process and found a name we could confidently build into the future.
The good news is that the vision, the experience, and everything we’re creating here remains exactly the same.
Today, we’re excited to introduce our new, new name: VELA Spa & Bathhouse.
VELA was actually one of our original shortlisted names during the branding process, so it already held a special place for us.
The name translates to “sails”, which we loved as a tribute to the Hawkesbury River and the morning mist that drifts through the valley each day. It also honours the river’s rich history as a vital water way connecting communities for centuries.
And for those who have been part of our journey for some time, the “V” is a subtle reminder of Villa Thalgo Day Spa, the much-loved destination that laid the foundation for what VELA is becoming today.
