Visiting Rangelands is a truly exceptional experience. Yes, the accommodation is in tents, but what tents. Nothing like something you would ever carry on your back! So the rooms and en-suite are really great especially considering that this is a totally off grid location. It even offers wi fi which was quite unexpected.
All that said, the unique features of this experience are the hosts, Celine and Peter and the totem factotum, Ben, who would be the most hospitable people one could hope to meet in this environment. So the hospitality, the meals and the general ambience are well beyond the expectations of even an experience traveller.
If you are looking for the ultimate luxury outback adventure with the Dinosaur Country experience thrown in, this should be your destination.
We stayed 3 nights but, had I know what to expect of both the camp and what Winton and its surrounds had to offer, it would have been better to have made it a 4 night stay.
