Casual Groundsman / Maintenance Assistant
24 hours per week

Do you love working outdoors and take pride in keeping a property looking its best? Wiseman Operations Pty Ltd is looking for a reliable, hands-on Groundsman and Maintenance Assistant to join our hotel property team on a casual basis (24 hours per week).

About the role
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you'll help keep our grounds, buildings and facilities in top condition across our riverside estate. Your work will range from gardening and grounds upkeep to general repairs and daily property checks. This is a varied, practical role for someone who enjoys working outdoors, likes getting things done, and takes pride in a well-kept property.

What you'll be doing

Maintaining the grounds, gardens and lawns, including mowing, trimming, weeding, planting and general landscaping

Keeping pathways, outdoor areas, car parks and event spaces clean, tidy and safe

Carrying out general repairs and maintenance in guest rooms and common areas

Assisting with preventative maintenance and daily property and building systems checks

Helping with pool cleaning and maintenance in line with council health regulations

Reporting defects, damage and maintenance issues to the Maintenance Manager

Assisting with event setup and pack-down where needed

Looking after tools, equipment and machinery, and keeping work areas tidy

Carrying out all work safely and in line with WHS obligations

What we're looking for

Experience in grounds maintenance, gardening, landscaping or general property maintenance

Confidence using grounds equipment such as ride-on mowers, whipper snippers and blowers

A practical, can-do approach and the ability to handle a wide range of tasks

Reliability, good time management and the ability to work independently

Good communication skills and a friendly, professional manner around guests

A sound understanding of workplace health and safety

A current driver's licence and your own transport (our property is in a regional

Trade or horticulture qualifications an advantage, but not essential

🧽 Kitchen Hands: reliable, hard-working and calm under pressure. You'll keep the kitchen clean, organised and moving.

🥂 Floor & Bar Staff: confident, warm and professional, with a love of good food, good w**e and real hospitality.
