This scenic waterfall along a creek & surrounded by forest is a popular swimming destination. Leave your vehicle in the car park on the banks of the Obi Obi Creek and take a short, level walk downstream to the falls.

Youll pass a number of shallow rock pools which are ideal for smaller children who just want to splash about. Follow the bubbling waters downstream where the pools increase in size and enjoy a freshwater swim in the largest pool underneath the falls.

These delightful waters are bounded by a grassy bank and backed by native forest making it the ideal spot for a hinterland picnic or a post-swim snooze under a giant water gum.

Maleny's local Obi Obi Boardwalk is just 12 minutes from Casa de Paz (and a 4-minute walk from Maleny Food Co's awarded gelatos).

The 900m walk, found at Coral Street and part of the Maleny Trail Circuit, will take you along the Obi Obi Creek which flows over to Gardners Falls and Kondalilla Falls. You can loop back up into town from the main road. It can take 30 minutes to loop around, a beautiful scenery worth the stroll.

Allow 45 minutes to an hour for this walk if you like reading all the interesting information boards en route.

A cup of coffee after walking will certainly not go amiss, so treat yourself to something to drink and eat at Maleny Lane, a rustic little foodie hub in the main street of Maleny.

Kondalilla Falls, in Kondalilla National Park, is just 30 minutes from Casa de Paz.

A 20-minute walk down to the rock pools in Obi Creek takes you to a gorgeous swimming spot at the top of the falls. It’s safe for families as the swimming hole is blocked off from the edge.

If you want to swim at Kondalilla Falls, it’s best to wait for the warm days of spring and summer, when rains make the falls flourish.
