There’s no endless team behind the scenes, no magic button that fixes every problem, and definitely no instruction manual for running a pub!
There’s Michael, me, our family, and a team of people who show up and give it their best.
It’s juggling staff call-outs, equipment that chooses the worst possible moment to break, deliveries that don’t arrive, rising costs, long days, late nights and all the curveballs that life throws our way.
It’s figuring things out as we go, celebrating the wins, learning from the hard days, and doing everything we can to keep the doors open, the kitchen cooking and the drinks flowing. All while trying to remember where we put our coffee. 😂☕️
Running a small, independent business isn’t always pretty, and we’re certainly not perfect. But there’s an awful lot of heart behind what we do.
So when you choose Church St, come back for another meal, bring your mates, book a table, leave us a review, share a post or recommend us to someone looking for somewhere to eat and drink — please know that it genuinely means the world to us.
