Captain Louie and his First Mate Jude hitting the lake today. A quick tailor in the bag and a stop at grandma & pops to visit cousins, and score the obligatory biccy. A filleting refresher from Pete for our young fishos to end the session. Up to the BBQ for Lou to cook up for lunch. Glorious. It was Jude’s first day out in the boat with Louie today.

Reminder – Auskelp Info Session
Just a quick reminder that AusKelp are holding an information session tonight about their proposed 200-hectare kelp farm in Disaster Bay (off Greenglade Beach), which is currently in a preliminary approval stage, with the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) expected to be released in 2026.

Just posting this as a friendly community reminder — I’m not a spokesperson for AusKelp, I’m sharing on behalf of myself to help keep everyone in the loop. The session was offered by AusKelp after a number of locals were surprised to find out about the final proposal, noting they were aware of the 50mx50m temporary test site but not the full permanent 200 hectare proposal.

This session is being run by AusKelp to share information about their proposal and answer community questions. This is not a Wonboyn Lake Ratepayers event.
