Ok, the deal is done!

Thank you Wondai for all the support and friendship over the last 5 and a bit years. A huge and heartfelt THANK YOU to Evan, Em, Happy, Kirsten, Jade and Jaz for being simply wonderful people as well as awesome employees and friends. To all the other Wonderful Wondai-ites who have worked for and with me, thank you too. I also want to thank our “regulars”, the best compliment and publican can get is you funny, interesting, annoying and lovely bunch of people.

I hope Aimee and Alvin are lucky enough to make the same kind of friendships as I have in Wondai.

TONIGHT is my LAST FRIDAY NIGHT!!

To celebrate we’ll be doing TWO Publican’s Purse draws worth $500 each.

We’ve also got our usual raffles, tonight hosted by the Barambah Football Club.

Due to the pub being sold, I unfortunately have to find a new home for Tucker. He’s a lovely natured dog who loves all people no matter size, shape, colour, or age as long as you give him pats. He is 5 years old, I got him from the Kingaroy RSPCA, so he is desexed and microchipped. He is up to date with his shots and monthly chews. His diet is grain free food only as regular dog food gives him uncontrollable diarrhoea. He is a German Shepherd, cattle dog, Rottweiler X so he’s quite clever and active but does shed hair a lot. He is used to being around people all day, so would do best in a house with someone home all day, or at least with someone who has another dog for him to play with. He comes with a dog house (light weight), mattress, some toys and all the left over food, treats and worming pills I have. I really want to find Tucker a great home as he’s been a fantastic companion and guard dog for me.

I just want to thank everyone who bought raffle tickets during the week and all those who turned up last night to support SES night. We have raised $560 so far! Also a huge thank you to Elly Knight and Happy Reidy who donated their time to make the fantastic spring rolls which disappeared as quickly as they were cooked. And to Carmen Moore who donated a hair care pack for the raffles. We all had a great night and I know the fabulous people from the Wondai SES are very grateful to everyone. Thanks Wondai!!

Wondai SES Night!!!!!

I am extremely happy to announce that the Friday night raffles and Publican’s Purse will be back from this Friday 4th Feb! To get things started we are making this a fund raising night for our local SES who as we know had their shed broken into recently and lost a whole lot of equipment and machinery. The situation was so bad they couldn’t help the community during the recent floods. So, it’s time for the community to help the SES! We will be doing the usual raffles for the fantastic Ryan’s meat trays, plus some extra raffles with products from the pub. Also, as an extra special treat Elly Knight has made a batch of her delicious spring rolls for us to sell (6 rolls for $10) and all the money from them will also be donated to the SES.

It’s going to be a great night, so please come in and help our SES who are always there to help all of us (when they have equipment). If you can’t come Friday night, raffle tickets are available now at the bar and we will also accept donations.

Please remember that proof of vaccination will be required upon entry.
