The weather might be cooling down but waterfall season is not 💦

Head just a short 30 minute drive south of Cairns & you’ll find Behana Gorge 🦋🌴 With pristine swimming holes, breathtaking views & stunning waterfalls that flow into a deep granite gorge, Behana is a spectacular sight all year ✨🌿

While it might be tough to combat the concrete track up to Clamshell Falls, anyone who’s made it will tell you that the 3.2km hike is worth every step 🥾🌄

You could do 𝕋ℍ𝔸𝕋, or you could do 𝕋ℍ𝕀𝕊… Kayak 🚣🏻 or SUP 🏄‍♂️ down crystal clear mountain ⛰🌳💦 streams teeming with fish, turtles 🐢 and the elusive platypus!⁣

That’s what Babinda Kayaking has in store for you, along with cool swims, rope swings and a picnic 🥪 on one of the secluded sandy beaches 🏖 dotted along the Babinda River. Not a bad way to spend a balmy tropical day, aye? 😉⁣

Nope, it's the Discover Atherton Tablelands 🌿 in Summer! ⁣
⁣
You can see why we call it our 'Green Season', can't you! ✨ The Wet Tropics World Heritage Area rainforest is certainly lush and glowing in dewy 💦 goodness right now.⁣

This waterfall is located in Visit Queensland, Australia's Wooroonooran National park just a 1.5 hour drive 🚘🗺 from Cairns or 1 hour drive from Explore Mission Beach.⁣

The Nandroya Falls circuit has a 6.6km track, so you best wear your hiking boots 🚶🏼‍♂️🥾 and allow 2 - 3 hours for a return trip. Park the caravan 🚐 or set up camp 🏕 and make the most of the lush wilderness and stay at the Henrietta Creek Campground in the park for a couple of days to really immerse yourself!⁣
