We have been working hard to improve our guest reviews over the last 3 years. It can be challenging at times but we do enjoy reading these types of reviews.

We are now at 4.9 out of 5 on Google which is a good indicator as to how we are going after 80 reviews.

Cathy is particularly focused on this and has driven this through to were it is today so we thought we would highlight this particular one of many.

Holiday ❘ Family

Amazing! What an incredible place. We (family of 5 - kids aged11,12,14 and our little collie) were made to feel very welcome and comfortable at Blue River Apartments and Cathy & Rod were incredibly attentive to everything we asked.

Surfing, fishing, SUPing, kayaking, bike riding and big banana-ing filled a memorable week in a very beautiful place. We will be back.

Hotel highlights : Great view · Quiet · Child-friendly · Great value

Rooms : Very comfortable, clean, cool and airy.

Nearby activities : Minnie Water (10 min drive) is a beautiful bay with a very clean surf break. Big Banana just over an hour. Bowls club is just down the street for a cold drink.

Safety : This is a small and safe community with everyone focussed on relaxing and good times. We were out fishing after dark each evening with no concerns.

Walkability : Everything we wanted to do activity wise was a short walk. It’s a longer walk (15-20mins) for groceries.

Food and drinks : Fish for your own or visit the Wooli butcher for the barbecue and when you can’t be bothered, music bingo and a feed at 383 or takeaway pizza did the trick.

Noteworthy details : Wonderful cool breeze keeps the air fresh and temperature down at all times.

The position between ocean and river provides a beautiful contrast and the full range of water activities on your front (and back) door steps.

The upgrades keep coming at Blue River Apartments as we gear up for Xmas.

As Cath and I downsized to an apartment at home, our cherished 10 seater outdoor dining table had to go so it went to Quarterdeck. Custom made by my good friend Mark Perry from engineered marabou planks resting on medieval styled Cross sectioned legs. We enjoyed many family and friend gatho's at this table for many years and now our guests in Quarterdeck can share the same experience's we had over the years.

Its worth checking out the table while you are staying.

The scaffolding is finally down! so the roof replacement is done, new windows are in and the solar panels are on!! and we are open for bookings again!!🤗🤗

The painter is chipping way at the new paint colour and will work around bookings as we head into September school holidays and then on to Xmas. We hope you like our new happy holiday colour choice.😀

As part of our roof repairs we have also taken the opportunity to spruce up the building with a paint refresh. A new colour with a summery beach holiday theme. Here is a sneak preview.
The big reveal starts Monday as the scaffolding starts to come down and the painter can start on the lower levels.

Another part of the work being carried out, as part of our shut down, is the replacement of the covered deck ceilings with new white powder coated corrugated aluminium to replace the old corrugated iron sheeting that was suffering from the salty Wooli climate!.

We have also added insulation as required under the current building code which will add to the thermal performance of these deck roofs making them cooler in summer.

Another project that has been carried out in this shutdown period was the replacement of all the old brown aluminium windows that were at the end of there life span with gleaming new white ones , colour selected by Cath!
