Have a bunch of clothes you don’t wear anymore that are still in great condition? Come along to the Clothing Swap on Sunday 26th August, put on by the Inner West Council and hosted by the Clothing Exchange, ! It’s part of the annual Footprints in Whites Creek Valley Park .
The swap will be held in the area outside the Whites Creek Dairy. Check-in is from 11.00am and the swap starts at 12:00pm - make sure to drop off your clothes beforehand between 11:00 and 11:50am on the day.
The swap is completely free and everyone is invited to attend! We will have tables for adult women's and men's clothing and shoes.
*This workshop is hosted by Inner West Council
Instructions:
Bring up to six quality items of clothing that are clean and undamaged (accessories such as belts and shoes are okay).
Drop them off at our Swap Tent between 11:00-11:50am. You will be given one token for each item of clothing that you bring.
While the clothes are being sorted and arranged, take a wander through the Ecofestival!
The swap starts at 12:00pm. Participants will be allowed into the Swap Tent and can choose any items. You can take one item for each token that you receive - e.g. if you bring four items of clothing you will get four tokens and can take up to four 'new' items.
Once you've chosen your 'new' items, a swap volunteer will take your tokens at the tent exit. Take your new clothes home and enjoy!
DO NOT BRING: We will not accept items that are dirty, torn, stained or in poor condition. We will not accept swimwear, sleepwear or active wear. We will not accept items in bulk -- this is for up to six items that are swapped for other items, not for clothes being dropped off for charity.
