WELCOME KAINE ANDRES TO THE KOOINDAH WATERS TEAM

Kooindah Waters Golf Club is delighted to welcome Kaine Andres to our team.
At just 25 years of age, Kaine brings with him a strong golfing background, a passion for the game, and a clear vision for his future in the golf industry. Beginning in January, Kaine will commence his journey towards becoming a PGA Professional through the PGA Membership Pathway Program, taking the next important step in pursuing a lifelong dream.
Kaine is excited to be joining the Kooindah Waters team and believes the wealth of knowledge and experience available through Mark Churcher, Troy McDonald, and Dave Stretton will provide invaluable guidance as he works towards becoming the best golf professional he can be. In return, Mark, Troy and Dave are looking forward to mentoring Kaine and helping him achieve his goals both on and off the golf course.

Kaine’s golfing journey began as a junior at Everglades Country Club, where he quickly developed a love for the game - achieving a remarkable milestone by reaching a scratch handicap at just 14 years of age.
Kaine was also a member at Kooindah Waters prior to 2019, making his return to the club even more special.
One of his fondest golfing memories came right here at Kooindah Waters, where he recorded his personal-best round of 8-under par, highlighted by an incredible albatross on the 10th hole.

Kaine joins the Golf Shop team following the decision of much-loved staff member Declan Connolly to take some time away from the shop and pursue a new challenge with our Agronomy Team. Declan is eager to get his hands dirty and further develop his skills under the guidance of Course Superintendent Bhodi Johnston. While members may see a little less of Declan behind the counter, we’re delighted that he remains a valued member of the Kooindah Waters team. We look forward to supporting him in this exciting new chapter and watching his growth within the course maintenance operation.

Please join us in welcoming Kaine Andres to Kooindah Waters Golf Club

Junior Golf at Kooindah: Term 4 Academy now enrolling:

Our Head Teaching Professional Scott Spence is opening the Term 4 Junior Academy, allowing kids to play real golf from their very first session.

Built on the Operation 36 program, juniors start by playing nine holes from just 25 metres out and level up as they learn — no months of hitting balls in a line before they get on a green. Progress is tracked in the Op 36 app, so parents and grandparents can follow along.

Two groups run on Thursday afternoons from 15 October to 3 December:

• Ages 6–9 — 4:30–5:30pm
• Ages 10–13 — 5:45–6:45pm

Eight weeks is $250 per junior, with a maximum of six in each group. Weeks alternate between our putting green and the Mark Churcher Driving Range, and there are two bring-a-friend weeks where mates play free. Loaner clubs are available.

Members' kids and grandkids are very welcome — places go to the first six in each group. Register at yourgolf.com.au/junior, or ask Scott in the pro shop.

Over 124 guests enjoyed the very best of KWGC’s finest hospitality, a fitting celebration to mark this wonderful milestone. Dear Members and Guests,

The response to our Kooindah Waters 20 Year Gala Dinner has been overwhelming, and I am delighted to advise that the event is now fully booked.

For those who may have missed out, we are now taking reserve bookings and will maintain a waiting list should any places become available.

This promises to be a truly special evening as we come together to celebrate not only 20 years of Kooindah Waters Golf Club, but also the friendships, memories, achievements, and community spirit that have made our club what it is today. It is an opportunity to reflect on how far we have come since our beginnings and to acknowledge the many members, volunteers, staff, sponsors, and supporters who have contributed to our journey.

Over the past two decades, Kooindah Waters has grown into much more than a golf club. It has become a place where lifelong friendships have been formed, families have celebrated milestones, and countless memorable moments have been shared both on and off the golf course. The Gala Dinner will be a fitting celebration of everything that makes our club and community so special.

Doors will open from 6:00pm on Saturday, 26 September, and the red carpet will be waiting to welcome you. We encourage everyone to arrive early, enjoy a glass of ch*****ne on arrival, catch up with friends old and new, and settle in for what promises to be a memorable evening of celebration, laughter, and gratitude.

Thank you to everyone who has supported this event. We look forward to celebrating this significant milestone with you all.

Kind regards,

David Stretton
General Manager
