Today we farewell the wonderful Marty! Marty is embarking on his extremely well-deserved retirement (semi-retirement as we hope to have him pop in for some odd jobs here and there!), but his absence at Forest Rise will be very much felt 💚
Marty has been with Forest Rise for an incredible 20 years, becoming a true fixture of the team. We're a small team, a family, and Marty has been at the centre of that for a very long time.
As Grounds Manager, Marty has gone the extra mile every day for the past two decades to ensure our little slice of paradise is taken care of and beautifully maintained for our guests. From carting around endless loads of firewood to climbing into roofs to retrieve the occasional poor deceased wildlife, Marty has truly done it all - always with that big cheeky grin of his!
Marty, we've been so lucky to have worked alongside you, and we'll miss you dearly. It's very bittersweet to see you go, but we couldn't be happier for you as you begin this next chapter.
Thank you for everything you've done, not only for Forest Rise, but for the team. Your hard work, kindness, humour and dedication have truly helped make Forest Rise what it is today. We're wishing you the most amazing retirement, because you have more than earned it.
And as a lasting legacy, we're so proud to be naming one of our walking trails "Marty's Ramble" - a small tribute to someone who has left such a lasting mark on Forest Rise.
