Appreciation Post. 🛜

These legends travelled from the Ergon Townsville depot Monday and stayed with us for the week.

Every morning at 6 they set off around the tablelands to check and maintain all infrastructure around the tablelands and even locations that are hard to get to and on private property.

Thanks guys for insuring the infrastructure that aids us to have power and networks around the tablelands continues at its best.

Hello all,

Yungaburra Park Motel Management would love to say Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all. We hope that everyone had a great and safe time spent with family and friends.

Please travel safe, as the weather isnt at its best currently with the Tropical Low 12U exspecting to turn towards the south-south-west later today moving closer to the North Tropical Cost overnight.

Please do not drive through flood water, if its flooded forget it.

If anyone is worried about travelling back home or out to adventure and stuck in the Tablelands we do have multiple rooms left for you to stay high and dry.

Hello travelers,

We still have available bookings for one night being Friday 19 Dec and now we also have one room available for Friday 19 Dec and Saturday 20 Dec.

Perfect location for this weekends market festivals. Only a 200m walk to middle of town where the Candlelight Christmas Markets will be held Froday from 1600 to 2000. Mr Belson will be open for coffee, breakfast, beverages and even dinner if you can book in be quick or grab a pub feed at the Yungaburra Pub.

With only a 30m walk to the markets there is no better location for Sunday 21 Dec, last markets for the year.

Don't forget this weekend is a busy weekend, last one before Christmas. What's on:

- Friday 19th Dec Candlelight Christmas Shopping from 4pm to 8pm.
- Saturday 20th Dec Malanda Markets from 0730 to 1200.
- Sunday 21st Dec Yungaburra Markets from 0730 to 1200.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to you for choosing to stay with us and for being part of our community of travellers over the years. Many of you have shared wonderful moments here with your four-legged companions, and we’ve truly enjoyed welcoming every wagging tail and happy face through our doors.

It’s with sincere appreciation — and a touch of sadness — that we share an important update: we are no longer able to accommodate pets at our motel from 24 October 2025. While we have loved being a dog-friendly destination, recent changes have made it no longer possible for us to continue offering this service.

Please know that this decision was not made lightly. Our team has taken great pride in providing a welcoming and comfortable stay for all our guests, both human and canine, and we will always treasure the many stories and friendships that have grown from our pet-friendly years.
