Back in December we had 3 days off. Our wee break for the year. We stayed in Palm
Cove as we had not stayed before, we had visited years ago, wanted to check it out as we have quite a few guests who head there from here or arrive to stay with us after a stay in Palm
Cove.
We picked a place that suited our needs. It was a lovely apartment very comfortable. We had one issue at this place I won’t go into details but it was one of the main reasons we picked this place. I wasn’t taken seriously by the reception staff they almost laughed at me. I bought it up 2 or 3 times but then left it as they were clearly not going to rectify the issue or take it seriously.
When we left I contemplated doing a review but didn’t.
Although it was very disappointing for my issue not to be addressed seriously, I elected not to post a review and just thought won’t stay again will find somewhere else if we go there again.
Doing an online review isnt always a must do when things dont go your way.
I will always leave positive reviews and if things aren’t up to scratch or if things go wonky or i made the wrong choice, thats on me and will let it go.
It might make you feel good to voice your opinion on your experience but it doesn’t always have to be put online to destroy hard working folks trying their best.

What a week! Our son graduated year 12 this week alongside an amazing cohort. One thing that has been said a number of times is we can’t believe it’s over! Years of getting up putting on a school uniform and hanging with friends, working on assignments and putting in the work in class is all over. For some graduates life is sorted they are off to University or starting apprenticeships. For others life beyond school is a bit scary they don’t know what’s install they haven’t figured out their path yet, but thats ok, sometimes things take time to fall into place your friends, family and community will support you.
Along with all the year 12 work our son has been training for a basketball tournament of the USA along with other tablelands kids it’s been a hard 2 years of fundraising and trips up and down the mountain. We have a few more weeks before he heads off on his basketball adventure.
On top of all the graduation excitement we had news of my father being in a serious condition in hospital. With my Dad being in Perth it was really difficult as I was unable to get over to Perth to support him and his partner. Good news is he is back with his partner and doing well and improving.

It’s been a bit of a roller coaster ride. We all have these life challenges. So thinking of our young people who have just graduated some will be feeling overwhelmed and lost others will be feeling exited. So just putting it out to our wonderful community to please watch out for our young ones as they begin to navigate life outside of school.
We wish all the graduates well and look forward to hearing about your life journey.
Take care and remember it’s ok not to be ok and reach out if you’re needing support or just someone to talk to.
