In Bangladesh, there are as many as 60.3 million workers. Out of them, 62% is agricultural labour and rural workers, including agriculture workers is 83%. Moreover, in Bangladesh, more than 70% people are landless. The poor peasant, agriculture labour and rural workers belong to this landless community. This vast number of peasant, agriculture and rural workers a

re outside the purview of agriculture farm labours. Compared to agriculture workers, the number of farm workers is very small. In Bangladesh, poor peasant, agriculture and farm labour do not have any social dignity. These peoples are deprived of basic human rights. They do not have social and political rights. Even the womb of the country Constitution is outside the grip of these people. They are deprived from the advantages provided by the country. These people are living amidst hunger, poverty, backwardness, disease and unhygienic situation. Ninety eight percent of these people are unorganized. Due to their this unorganized situation, they can not create any movement to establish their legitimate right. If they cannot be organized, organizing mere agricultural farm labours cannot attain any effective result for the total peasant, agriculture and rural workers community. For that matter, with the active help and assistance of the agriculture farm workers, efforts were made to organize peasant, agriculture and rural labour in each village. Solving problems of agricultural farm workers and solving problems of agricultural and rural workers were not same. Agricultural farm workers have their specific owner and authorities where their problems can be told. But peasant, agriculture & rural worker have no any owner or authorities. So, it is hard to organize the workers. They are illiterate and are not aware about their own rights. They have been passing inhuman and worst life. In order to organize rural workers, establish their rights and make them educated and aware, Bangladesh Sramajibi Kendra was established in the year January, 2000. Bangladesh Agricultural Farm Labour Federation (BAFLF) also affiliated with BSK. Since January 2000, it has been organizing poor peasant, landless people, agricultural labour, rural labour, workers in unorganized sector etc. This organization has got 17-points demand for establishing rights of the above people and for removing their poverty and 15 points demand for land and agrarian reform. To materialize these 17-point and 15-point demands, including some demands at the local level, this organization has been trying to lodge movement at different districts in the country.
