The Lighthouse Centre BE A LIGHT TO THE NATIONS
John 8:12 "When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world.Whoever follows me will never walk in ".

statement of faith:
These are non-negotiable tenets of faith that all Assemblies of God churches adhere to. This list is derived from the official Statement of Fundamental Truths. WE BELIEVE…The Scriptures are Inspired by God and declare His design and plan for mankind. It is final and absolute authority. WE BELIEVE…There is only One True God–revealed in three persons…Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (commonly known as the Trinity). WE BELIEVE…In the Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ. As God’s son, Jesus was both human and divine and He is the coming King . The only way to be saved is through our Lord Jesus Christ. WE BELIEVE…the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is a Special Experience Following Salvation that empowers believers for witnessing and effective service, just as it did in New Testament times. The Initial Physical Evidence of the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is ‘Speaking in Tongues,’ as experienced on the Day of Pentecost and referenced throughout Acts and the Epistles. WE BELIEVE…The Church has a Mission to seek and save all who are lost in sin. We believe ‘the Church’ is the Body of Christ and consists of the people who, throughout time, have accepted God’s offer of redemption (regardless of religious denomination) through the sacrificial death of His son Jesus Christ. WE BELIEVE…Divine Healing of the Sick is a Privilege for Christians Today and is provided for in Christ’s atonement (His sacrificial death on the cross for our sins). WE BELIEVE…in The Blessed Hope—When Jesus Raptures His Church Prior to His Return to Earth (the second coming). At this future moment in time all believers who have died will rise from their graves and will meet the Lord in the air, and Christians who are alive will be caught up with them, to be with the Lord forever.

GRACE IN THE DARK.

Jonah 2:1–10
Sometimes God’s grace meets us not in the light, but
in the deep.

1. When feelings lie, let memory lead.
“My soul is fainting, but I remember Yahweh.”

Feelings can be loud, but they aren’t always true.
If you don’t preach to your feelings, your feelings will
preach to you.
Remember His faithfulness. Remember who He is.

2. Grace for imperfect prayers.

Jonah’s prayer wasn’t perfect, but it was surrendered.
God isn’t waiting for your perfection. He’s waiting for
your surrender.
You can pray from the depths. Just turn toward Him.

3. Planted on dry ground.

What felt like the end became the place where God’s
grace met Jonah.
You may feel buried, but God can still bring life from
dry ground.

The darkness is not the absence of God. His grace can
find you there too.

Run for God's Promise

God can call us in the most unexpected places—even in the wilderness. 🔥
Like Moses, we may feel afraid, limited, or unqualified. But God’s calling is greater than our excuses, and His faithful promises are greater than our fears.

When He calls, we can realise His voice, respond in faith, and rely on His promises. He can use the ordinary for His extraordinary purpose—and He will always remain faithful.

WHEN GOD SAYS RISE UP.

Jonah 1 is a reminder of what happens when we
choose not to listen to God.

Jonah heard God’s call, but instead of obeying, he ran
in the opposite direction. And what started as his own
disobedience soon became a storm that affected those
around him.

Sometimes we think running from God will make things
easier, but it only takes us further from where He
wants us to be.

God’s instructions may not always make sense to us,
but obedience is always better than running. Don’t let
fear, comfort, or pride keep you from saying yes to
Him.

HOW TO KEEP GOING WHEN THE GOING GETS TOUGH. 🙏🏼

Philippians 1:27–29 reminds us that the struggle doesn’t mean God has left us.
Keep going. Keep trusting. Keep standing.

1. STAND. 🧍‍♀️
Stand firm for Christ — because Christ stands with you.

2. STAY. 🤝
Stay together. Don’t walk through the hard seasons alone. Stand united in faith.

3. SEE. 👀
See beyond the struggle. Trust that God is working through what you’re walking through.

Stand. Stay. See.
When life gets tough, remember: God is still working. ❤️‍🔥
