Did you know I run a second business making cakes ?

I don’t always have cake spare, but I had guests staying for a week in both rooms, so as a wee treat they got some Lemon Cake 🍰 🍋😋

Today is our 8th wedding anniversary. For those that don’t know, I am Scottish and Ced is Belgian. Yes, I think we are the only Belgo-Scot running a Bed & Breakfast in Belgium!

There was nothing more fitting than the theme of our wedding being a Scottish Wedding in Belgium, and yes, Ced wore a kilt. Doesn’t he look handsome! What do you think?

About Us

We are Emma and Ced. We moved to Bossut-Gottechain, in the Belgian countryside, a few years ago with the intentions of escaping from the hectic city life, and following our dreams. Chez Spoons was born – a Cooking School with a Bed & Breakfast, a large kitchen garden with chickens, and lots and lots of cake! It is our dream, and like most dreams, they take time to become reality. As a result, the cooking school, kitchen garden and selling cake are still a work in progress, but the Bed & Breakfast is up and running! Hopefully you will enjoy your stay so much, that you will come back to visit and see how our dream progresses!

Chez Spoons is situated in a renovated farmhouse, nestled in the small village of Bossut. We enjoy stunning countryside views, popular with walkers and cyclists alike, yet we are close to major cities like Leuven, Wavre, Louvain-La-Neuve and Brussels, making it ideally situated at the same time peaceful and energising. It provides the perfect place to unwind and relax, but it is also a practical base for those working nearby.

We offer 2 Double Bedrooms in the renovated barn, which has its own entrance, and we make every effort to provide a relaxed and welcome stay with a really good night’s sleep! We aim to provide realistically priced, high quality accommodation with a friendly, personal touch. We look forward to meeting you!
