🏡About the house
L’Ancienne Cure has
lived many lives. Built in the early 18th century, it was once home to the village priests. Above the entrance, you can still see a small trace of that past: the spot where the village bell once hung, calling people together. Over the years, we’ve restored it with care, always trying to keep its original spirit alive. You can feel it in the generous space, the marble fireplaces, and the centuries-old tiles.
🛎️The Rooms
We currently welcome guests into two rooms:
🗝️The Vigneto Room — A spacious 21 m² retreat with an ensuite bathroom and a bathtub with castle view for indulgent soaks. The queen-size bed (160 cm) promises deep, peaceful sleep.
🗝️The Flamingos Room — 22 m², includes a cosy sitting area with a desk for writing postcards, and two armchairs for curling up with a book. The queen-size bed (160 cm) is paired with a simple washbasin for morning freshen-ups.
🥐A gorgeous breakfast to start the day
We love good food — so breakfast is something we take seriously. It’s included in your stay, and is built with as many organic ingredients as we can find. The menu includes Greek yogurt topped with fresh fruit and muesli, a warm viennoiserie, toast with a poached egg, and local sourdough bread with our home-made jam. On sunny mornings, we’ll serve it in the garden — and in summer, you might wander into our orchard and pick your own fruit.
🚃Other services available
Our garden is yours to enjoy, as is our living room — complete with a cinema for cosy evenings. If you arrive by train, we’ll gladly pick you up at nearby stations like Mariembourg or Couvin, free of charge. We can prepare a packed lunch for you at a friendly price.
