On Sunday, August 25th, after 7 years, the Golden Tree Procession will take place again in Bruges 😀🥳😀

The Pageant of the Golden Tree is a medieval pageant that recounts the history of Bruges and the county of Flanders. The main focus are the celebrations surrounding the marriage of Margaret of York and Charles the Bold. Starting this year, the Pageant will have a more modern flair.

Don't miss it! 😉 The procession starts at 2.30 pm at 't Zand 🤩

Tomorrow, May 9th, the Procession of the Holy Blood will pass through Bruges' historic city center again! 😃

It originated in 1304 as an expression of gratitude and faith. The dominant theme is the remembrance of the suffering of Jesus Christ. Over 1,800 participants sing, make music, dance and act. The style of the procession recalls the Burgundian era when guilds, crafts, brotherhoods and chambers of rhetoric were responsible for the interpretation of the scenes 🙂

Last weekend the Bruges Triennial 2024 started in the city 😃 With Spaces of Possibility as the central theme, this edition takes a closer look at the public space in Bruges 👀 Which places are underused today? 🤔How can we maximize the city within its boundaries by using space in a different way? 🤔Twelve (inter)national artists and architects were invited to think about the city of tomorrow. Using temporary art and architectural interventions, they reflect on new forms of (re)use and thirteen hidden or unknown places in the city were given a new temporary purpose 🤩 You can discover these places between April 13 and September 1 🤗
