Have you seen "De Kaart is niet het Territorium" at JAM Ghent yet?

This beautiful exhibition by and .fashion is bringing culture and colour to JAM Ghent until June 27.

The showcase is not merely an exhibition about cultures; it is a statement of voice. The craftswomen and -men appear as authors of their own visual and textile narratives. Through reimagined garments, contemporary works, and textile practices at the intersection of craftsmanship and design, the exhibition offers a contemporary perspective of plural identities. This approach aligns with a committed vision of solidarity and bridge-building between communities - one that makes creation an act of resilience.

Open to guests and public for free.

When in Ghent...do as the locals do
That's why we asked 5 Ghent artists to create works for our lobby.
One of them:

Liesbeth Henderickx (°1991, BE) lives and works in Ghent. Her practice is grounded in sculpture—a medium through which she examines how built environments, with their forms, materials, gestures, and representations, shape our daily lives.

Her work Gewand (2023) is based on an enlarged and repeated wool pattern. The knitted chunks made from broken plaster casts help us understand the patterns that make up the objects we use and wear – something that Henderickx finds essential for personal growth.
