A spontaneous participatory workshop is emerging
on May 22, 23, 24

This weekend we gather to start bringing life to the beautiful space of Graide Retreat.

We start with constructing the staircase and security rails (balustrade).

We answer the call on the place to host :

- ecstatic dance and other movement sessions
- rites and ceremonies
- ritual theatre
- silent gatherings
- contact improv
- liminal performances

A new season of volunteering at Graide Retreat is open ✌️

🌿 We are looking for a volunteer for this summer

Minimum stay: 1 month

We are looking for one person (preferably a man) who enjoys working with hands and is comfortable with a simple, autonomous lifestyle.

Tasks :

🔨 light construction and small repairs
🔨 building a simple living space for volunteers (wooden structure in a shed)
🔨 fixing and improving things around the property
🔨 outdoor tasks (chicken coop, fences, small structures, garden support)

We're looking for:

👉 someone skilled or experienced with basic construction / DIY
👉 independent and self-organized
👉 comfortable with simple living conditions
👉 physically active and reliable

We offer:
🌿 a quiet place in nature (Ardennes, Belgium)
🌿 simple accommodation (we will create/improve it together) + food (this is not a vegetarian-only space, but everyone is welcome)
🌿 shared process of building something real
🌿 calm environment, no crowds

💚 Graide Retreat is a long-term project in the Southern Ardennes of Belgium.
We have already hosted 30+ volunteers and are creating a simple, authentic retreat space in nature.

It's time for Graide Retreat to grow a little.

If you stayed in our Lodge or took part in one of the workshops or rites, you probably remember a 'visiting' wagon on the land.

We're preparing to pass to a new level and to create our proper
Graide Retreat Roulotte.
We want to expand our space while keeping the humble charm of natural materials.

I've been looking for different construction options and I think I may have found one 🤞

This feels like a special moment when a dream starts to get its visual form.

Our Solar Gypsy Wheel, the main Lodge symbol of Life and Wisdom, has inspired more than one man for a tattoo.

Both guys are from Belarus, by the way ))
