Over zo’n verborgen plek als BAST vind je niet veel Google Reviews of TripAdvisor-sterren.
Maar open ons gastenboek en je belandt in een wereld van kleine verhalen, herinneringen en momenten die blijven hangen.
Voor ons zijn dat de allermooiste schatten.

Dankjewel aan ieder die deze plek al uitkoos voor redenen groot of klein, om te vieren of te herstellen, te zoeken of te vinden.

Bij BAST begint de Lente pas echt als de boomgaarden in de omgeving in bloei staan. 🌸
Het is een magische tijd van het jaar, perfect om eropuit te trekken en te genieten van de bloesempracht Maak een wandeling, adem de lente in, en keer terug naar BAST voor een aperitiefje op het terras of in het bad.

Er zijn nog wat vrije data op weekdagen in April, reserveren kan via de website.

At BAST, Spring really begins when the orchards in the area are in bloom. 🌸

It’s a magical time of year, perfect to go out and enjoy the blossoms.
Take a walk, breathe in the Spring atmosphere , and return to BAST for an aperitif on the terrace or in the bath.

There are still some available dates on weekdays in April, reservations can be made via the website.

BAST - Ik moet toegeven dat ik de voorbije jaren altijd reikhalzend uitkeek naar de lente, naar de eerste frisgroene blaadjes aan onze bomen.
De maanden daarvoor beschouwde ik steevast als ‘de minst mooie’ tijd van het jaar in het bos.

Maar deze winter zag ik het voor het eerst anders. Ik ontdekte de schoonheid in die kale, grijze, natte dagen.
Het bos heeft geen knalgroen uitbundig gewaad nodig om zijn kaalheid te verbergen.
Het grafische spel van grillige zwarte lijnen tegen een canvas van ontelbare tinten grijs, bruin en khaki is puur en prachtig op zichzelf.

En toen bracht deze zonsopgang dat canvas met een magische gloed tot leven.

I have to admit that in past years, I always eagerly anticipated spring and the first fresh green leaves on our trees.
I used to see the months leading up to it as ‘the least beautiful’ time of the year in the forest.

But this winter, for the first time, I saw it differently. I discovered the beauty in those bare, gray, rainy days.
The forest doesn’t need a vibrant green cloak to conceal its bareness.
The graphic play of twisted black lines against a canvas of countless shades of gray, brown, and khaki turned out to be pure and stunning in its own right.

And then, this sunrise brought that canvas to life with a magical glow.

BAST - ‘What a fantastic stay.
Completely integrated into nature, very nicely decorated. One with the forest.
We enjoyed the purity of the forest, the birds, the trees, the plants and the silence.
