A Belgian countryside culinary vacation! Experience a taste of Portugal in Belgium! 🇵🇹 For those bright sunny days the garden and terrace beckons. Well, simple.

Set in a restored traditional Belgian farm in Tongeren, just 4 km from the famous Antique Market you will find AntiQua & Qook Bed & Breakfast. The 4 individually decorated suites each with private bathroom and shower will make your stay comfortable and relaxing. When you arrive you will soon feel as if you’re staying with friends. Though you may prefer not to mingle our lounge and dining room is a

n extension of your room with comfy sofa’s, reading material, soft music and a crackling fire in winter. Only the best freshest ingredients are used to prepare your Breakfast, which you are welcome to enjoy in the dining room decorated with traditional Portuguese wine barrel furniture or outside in the terrace. Your hostess and Chef Fatima will prepare delicious traditional Portuguese, Spanish and other dishes upon request. The only problem with our Bed & Breakfast is having to leave! We have been asked many times why the name “AntiQua & Qook”? The farm is over 100 years old and it is situated in Tongeren, the oldest city of Belgium 4km away from the famous Antique market in the Tongeren centre. As we will be hosting cooking workshops we decided to add in the Qook part with a Q and not a C because we “are” different. In the future we will also have a wellness area so hence “AQua” in AntiQua.

🌿 Behind the Scenes at AntiQua & Qook B&B 🌿

Many people see the freshly made beds, the beautiful garden, the breakfast table, and the relaxing atmosphere.

What they don’t always see is everything that happens behind the scenes to make that experience possible.

From mowing the lawns on my trusty ride-on mower, tending the gardens, preparing breakfasts, welcoming guests, cleaning rooms, washing endless towels, cooking meals, maintaining the property, and making sure every little detail is just right — running a Bed & Breakfast is truly a labour of love.

Every flower planted, every room prepared, every breakfast served, and every smile exchanged is part of creating a place where guests can relax, recharge, and feel at home.

At AntiQua & Qook, hospitality isn’t just a business — it’s a way of life.

And because we’re the only B&B in Limburg with our own floating centre, there is also another side to our daily routine: helping guests disconnect from stress and experience deep relaxation through floating.

Some days are long. Some days are challenging. But seeing our guests leave happy, relaxed, and with beautiful memories makes every minute worthwhile.

One moment I’m welcoming guests, preparing breakfasts, lighting the BBQ or helping visitors discover our beautiful region… and the next, you’ll find me mowing the lawns, planting flowers, trimming hedges and making sure every corner looks its best.

Because for me, hospitality is not just about providing a room – it’s about creating a place where people can relax, reconnect and truly feel at home.
