One of the (many) reasons we love Sveti Vlas and Bulgaria is the independent restaurants, the Bulgarian cuisine, and their own way of doing things!

However, for those wanting home from home, there are McDonald's in Sunny Beach. This year they seemed particularly empty - and not surprising given the prices! There are many fast food stalls within a few minutes walk - local, cheap, and much more authentic 😁

A lovely new bakery and takeaway at the top of Flower Street (opposite the old Central bar). We didn't get to try it, or remember the name 🤦🏼‍♀️ but the prices were reasonable and the choice was very good. Very well stocked and looked fresh. We only didn't try it as we'd already eat!

We made our annual visit for an early dinner to White Rose in New Nesebar last night.

The value for money is exceptional. The food and service are good, and you can understand why people queue to get in. (I don't believe it takes reservations).

We had caprese salad and meat ball soup to begin (both nice, but not as much cheese on the caprese as a lot of places), then Mishmash, broccoli in a blue cheese sauce, mushrooms with melted cheese, garlic bread, homemade chips, and mussels in a white wine sauce (there was plenty of mussels and the white wine wasn't too strong). And finally, we had a creme brulee (nice, but more of a cross between creme brulee and creme caramel).

To drink we had 3 large beers, 3 soft drinks a non-alcoholic cocktail and a glass of wine.

Total cost : 84 leva 😲

They also do a lunch menu which you can find on the board outside.
